We are thrilled to announce WAI Regional Milwaukee Office Director Gina Green-Harris, MBA, was appointed to chair the Governor’s Health Equity Council.

The group is charged with creating a comprehensive plan to achieve equitable health outcomes for all people in Wisconsin, namely by addressing health disparities based on race, economic status, education level, history of incarceration, and geographic location.
Green-Harris is also Director of Center for Community Engagement and Health Partnerships and Director of Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families at UW. In March, she was recognized as a UW–Madison Outstanding Woman of Color.
Also serving on the council are Jasmine Zapata, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor (CHS), Department of Pediatrics, Paula Tran Inzeo, MPH, Director of the Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health program in the Population Health Institute, and Shiva Bidar-Sielaff, MA, UW Health Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
