Wisconsin Dementia Resource Network to meet Thursday, Sept. 3

Members of the Wisconsin Dementia Resource Network (WDRN) will convene for a teleconference on Thursday, September 3, from noon-1:00pm. The discussion topic will be “Creating a Virtual Educational Series – Connecting Community and Caregivers during COVID-19.” Network members can learn how eleven Northwestern Wisconsin counties came together to create a virtual educational series to address the needs of people in their communities during the pandemic.  Speakers will explain how the planning group was initially formed, their collaboration and the process they employed to choose topics, speakers, a virtual platform, and plan event details for the educational series that was offered both live and recorded for later viewing. They will discuss budget, marketing, program sustainability and community response.
