Dr. Mora Pinzon awarded UW Department of Medicine Pilot Award

WAI congratulates Maria Mora Pinzon, MD, MS, for receiving a UW Department of Medicine Pilot Award for her project “Beliefs and Attitudes about Dementia among Latinx Individuals Living in Dane County – Validation of a Survey Instrument.” The purpose of the proposed pilot study is to revise the “Cultural Beliefs about Alzheimer’s Disease” instrument using a mixed-methods exploratory design. At the end of this project, she will have a survey instrument that has been validated for Latinx older adults, and will be ready for further validation using a larger sample of individuals in her future NIH career development grant application.
