Registration is open for the 19th Annual Update in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias
The annual continuing education opportunity brings together memory care professionals for research updates, education, networking and resources in dementia care. The two-day event will be held virtually and starts with a workshop for people newer to providing dementia care on November 4, 2021. The conference is November 5, 2021, followed by a meeting of members of the WAI memory care clinic network.
The conference keynote speakers include Alireza Atri, MD, PhD; Suzanne E. Schindler, MD, PhD; and Marie Boltz, PhD, GNP-BC, FAAN. Dr. Atri is director Banner Sun Health Research Institute and co-leader clinical and biomarker cores, Arizona Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center; and lecturer on neurology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Atri will present Anti-Amyloid Therapies in Alzheimer’s Disease: Emerging Opportunities & Challenges for Clinical Care. Dr. Schindler is a clinical neurologist and neuroscientist and associate professor of neurology, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Schindler’s talk is titled Clinical use of Alzheimer Disease Biomarkers in Diagnosis of Dementia. Dr. Marie Boltz is Elouise Ross Eberly and Robert Eberly Endowed Chair and professor at Penn State Nese College of Nursing. Dr. Botlz’s presentation is titled Partnering with Families During Hospitalization of Persons with Dementia: Lessons Learned.
