The event explored the reality of how American descendants of slavery experience worse health outcomes than other groups, an important foundation of existing health disparities for public health organizations and providers to better understand. The event also examined how descendants of enslaved people currently also face worse outcomes and higher risk of death from COVID-19.
The Addressing Systemic Racism event series will be held monthly. Stay tuned for next event dates and news on the event series website.
