The Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter featured Stephanie Houston, Senior Outreach Specialist at the WAI Regional Milwaukee Office, and the critical work she has been doing during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide support and advocacy for people with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia in the Milwaukee area. Houston also serves as director of the Amazing Grace Chorus®.
From the Alzheimer’s Association feature:
“When COVID-19 hit, we learned a lot of lessons about accessing resources,” says Stephanie. “In Milwaukee County, African Americans account for 27% of the population, but they represented 70% of the people dying.”
Thank you to the Alzheimer’s Association for recognizing the important work of Houston and the WAI Regional Milwaukee Office.
