
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Tamara LeCaire as a scientist for Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute.
LeCaire has more than 20 years experience in study design and management, including the development, use and oversight of longitudinal relational databases and biorepositories. She provided scientific leadership to the Survey of Public Health of Wisconsin (SHOW), including scientific support to survey implementation and oversight of data dissemination by the science team. In that role, she also supported collaborations using SHOW’s data, biorepository and research infrastructure, including providing oversight of ancillary study management and grant support.
Prior to her work with the Survey of the Health of Wisconsin, LeCaire was the project director for the longstanding Wisconsin Diabetes Registry Study. Her research interests include diabetes management and complications including complications pathways, as well as child and adolescent metabolic health. LeCaire has a PhD in population health sciences with an emphasis in epidemiology from UW-Madison.
LeCaire joins WAI on April 6, 2020. We are excited to have her support furthering our research in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias!
