ADRC Research Program Ambassador

The mission of the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) is to find ways to identify Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other dementias early so we can prevent and treat the disease before symptoms occur. The ADRC actively collaborates with individuals from diverse underrepresented communities to identify and address health disparities in the diagnosis and management of dementia. In this new position, the program ambassador will serve as a research advocate with the Gleason Research Lab to empower and encourage persons from underrepresented communities (especially African Americans) to engage in research. In addition, the study ambassador will work closely with ADRC researchers to ensure that research study visits and processes are culturally sensitive
